chili, cheese and potatoes

Chili  Mix Ingredients:

Red kidney beans, onion, cinnamon, garlic , salt, and spices


Additions:

2 pounds ground sirloin (or chuck or round)
1 28-ounce can tomato sauce
1/2 cup barbeque sauce (sweet rather than smoky)
1/2 to 1 1/2 cups water, depending on your desired chili thickness
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar


 Directions:

Crumble and brown ground meat in a 3 to 4 quart pot with 1 or 2 tablespoons oil, if desired. Add contents of chili mix. Stir in additions above, bring to a simmer, cook on medium-low heat, covered, for 25 minutes.


Cheese sauce:

1/2 stick plus 2 tablespoons Butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups Milk
2 cups  Cheddar Cheese

Place in saucepan and whisk over medium heat until thickened.
